November 2011
Hornby Track Plans from various books and catalogues are added to the site, including the famous layout from 1980!
October 2011
New in October's update, five new plans including Trafford Wharf Road, a new industrial layout based in Manchester. There's two micro-layouts in Newport Docksand Scottish Harbour, and a two-level branch line in the Wharfe Valley Light Railway (shown below). For those with a craving for something more complicated, there's also a Quadruple Oval.
September 2011
Five new plans are added for an 8 foot board, including the station at Berwick Upon Tweed and various busy train set ideas.
August 2011
The Anglesey Central Railway is added to the Prototype Plans page, showing the island branch line in the early 20th century.
July 2011
A new 'User Submissions' section is added to the layout plans page, showing the entries of the 2011 Layout Planning Competition.
June 2011
The remainder of the Midland Railway's Settle to Carlisle route is completed, including a huge representation of Carlisle circa 1910.
May 2011
A new 'Prototype Plans' section is added to the site, kicking off with
the Settle to Carlisle line as far as Appleby. 

April 2011
This month, three prototype plans are closely modelled: Mallaig in the 1970s, Shotton Steelworks, and Dover Priory. Thanks to Ozman2009 on the FreeTrackPlans Forum for suggesting the last one!
March 2011
Three more loft layouts are added in the shape of Euston to Manchester, Branch Line Border and Diagonal Station. All feature end-to-end running with a continuous run.
February 2011
Inverness, a 12x8.5 layout including Kyle of Lochalsh, is added to the site. Central Station and Two Reverse Loops complete February's update.
January 2011
Yet more classic plans are added, including a Through Terminus, Corner Station and Exchange Sidings. Three classic branch line termini are also included on this site for the first time.

New additions include a 'Geometry' page that illustrates many of the layout permutations of Hornby Setrack, and a selection of 'Basic Shapes' for model railways - accessible via the Track Plan Index.

Due to some technical difficulties, it's been a few weeks since the last few updates. Two more plans from the Bluebell Railway should make up for it - Kingscote and Horsted Keynes have been added to the database.

After two separate requests, Goathland has been added to the '8 Feet Wide' section - a great prototype for a branch line model railway.

Two additional plans have been added for the new '5 Feet Wide' section.

Dockside and Branch Line add two more ideas for the 4.5x3.5 size, both ideal as a first step up from the standard train set.

Two smaller layouts are added, stretching the 4 feet wide with an extra 6 inches. 'Ardlui' and 'AC Depot' are layouts that I'm considering building at the moment!

North Blyth and Mode Wheel plans should appeal to modellers of the industrial era, with loco depots provided on both layouts. On North Blyth, the ghostly Cambois depot takes centre stage, whilst Mode Wheel shed is also represented as part of the Manchester Ship Canal Railway.

Two narrow gauge plans, using Peco's On30 track, are added in response to a request from Jack in Australia. Both are designs for his 6x4' board, and are based on the Welsh prototype.

'Kyle Shed' is the latest addition, representing the small shed and turntable at this Scottish terminus.

Two through stations on Pennine and Peak District railways have been added, including Ravenstonedale on the Eden Valley Railway, and Monsal Dale on the Midland's lost mainline.
