Main Line Terminus
8'x2'
With trains arriving from the right hand side, this plan allows the arriving train to choose any of the four platforms. Similarly, the departing train can find the appropriate track through the use of two crossovers, using an arrangement borrowed from Cyril J Freezer’s classic ‘Minories’ plan. Trains such as DMUs, Intercity 125 and 225 sets will not require a run round loop and can use the upper two platforms, whilst loco-hauled services can run around the train using the passing loop. Storage sidings for coaches (upper) and locos (lower) mean that plenty of stock can be visible at all times, recreating the appearance of a busy city station.
