How about a setrack rendition of one of my favourite stations - Llanfair Caereinion on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway. A run round loop enabled locos to get to the front of the train whilst the carriages wait at the single platform, and a variety of sheds and outhouses serve the resident loco fleet. Plenty of trees on all sides help to set the scene, which could quite easily be upgraded to main line standard by an imaginary Act of (the Welsh) Parliament.
