Georgemas Junction
8'x8'
This innovative plan crams a fair bit into an 8x8' board, and allows branch line operations on the Far North line to be replicated in a spare room. Reverse loops either side of Georgemas Junction mean that trains can be stored out of view, but care must be taken to avoid collisions. The wiring of two reverse loops will require some care but it should be possible to run trains in and out of the station in a reasonably prototypical manner. A branch line station similar to Thurso is modelled on an upper level (shown on the right hand image). If the tight curve to the top right of the plan is not favourable, you could always run this loop in an anti-clockwise direction instead, running along the top edge of the board and into the station from the top left corner.
