Liverpool Docks
6'x2'
One of the more ‘off-the-wall’ suggestions this, based on the harbour railways at the Port of Liverpool. Very short wheelbase locos can shunt freight wagons around, with cranes ready to move goods onto waiting boats. Two platforms are provided for the loading of wagons, but these could instead be used as short passenger platforms for dockers moving up and down the railway network (in the back of wagons most likely). The shunting puzzle provided by the three left-hand points provides operational entertainment to go with the Victorian dockside scenery.
